This paper analyzes the simulated performance of 100 kWp grid connected Si-poly photovoltaic system. This study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of installing a photovoltaic system for supplying the electric load of an educational institute. The simulated system comprises 323 Si-poly PV modules. Each PV module has a rating of 310 Wp.
The 100 kWp PV system generates 165.38 MWh/year, out of which only 161.6 MWh/year is injected into the grid. The annual performance ratio is around 80 % and the normalized productions of inverter output or final system yield i.e. useful energy is 4.42 kWh/kWp/day. Finally the loss diagram over the whole year is also computed. © 2017 The Authors.
It was seen that the proposed system is quite feasible. The simulated system showed the performance ratio as 78.1 % with a Final yield varying from 3.14 kWh/kWp/day to 5.65 kWh/kWp/day . 3. Materials and methods For this analysis, a grid connected photovoltaic system is modelled and simulated using PVsyst software.

Grid integration of photovoltaic systems is the dominant trend for the use of the generated energy. In addition, the photovoltaic system generation becomes an important alternative source. The alternative source varies, starts from kilowatt to megawatt depending on the needs of the application.
The designed 100 kWp Si-poly photovoltaic plant injects 161600 kWh of energy into grid on yearly basis. Monthly and daily sum of specific electricity injected into grid are 1616.10 kWh/kWp and 4.41 kWh/kWp respectively. The PV plant generated and injected more energy to the grid in the month of March i.e. 15800 kWh.
