The unique system of the ART tram, which is work as intelligent core subsystem, includes a multi-source perception system, a path tracking control system, and an autonomous guided trajectory following system (AGTFS). 3.1. ART tram core subsystems
The new Sitras HES hybrid energy storage system consists of two energy-storing components: the Sitras MES mobile energy storage unit (double-layer capacitor, DLC) and a nickel-metal hydride battery.
Externally, the tram possesses the ability to interact with the traditional signaling and communication systems of rail transportation through V2X technologies, enabling comprehensive perception of the surrounding environment.

Similarly, French company Matra introduced the Laor guided tram technology to its VAL series vehicles and developed the Neovel Cityval series vehicles with a central guidance similar to TransLohr, transforming physical tracks from double rails to single rail.
The ART tram is equipped with four 150 kW inverters and matching pickup coils, which receive power through inductive ground transmission. The power supply can reach more than 500 kW, with a static efficiency of over 90% and a dynamic efficiency of over 85%. The architecture is shown in Fig. 9 below. Fig. 9.
