The solar application process is typically managed by your solar installer, with some help from you along the way. The Xcel Energy Application Management team will work closely with your solar installer throughout the process to ensure the smoothest experience possible.

How do I complete a solar application?

Your solar application is completed online with step-by-step instructions that you or your solar installer manage from start to finish. Applications are usually handled by the solar installer, but you can also complete an application if you choose.

How long does Xcel Energy take to sign a solar agreement?

Fees and timelines will vary depending on the study. Solar Agreements are sent to the customer/system owner and solar installer for electronic signature. These documents will be sent to the customer email address on file. Xcel Energy will countersign the documents within 2 business days of receipt.

How do I register for Xcel Energy?

It's important to Xcel Energy that your personal data is protected, therefore your solar installer will need to register by creating a unique username and password to login. The person managing the application process should create the account. Once logged in, the application process can begin!
